Worm's Proud Night

I'd like to say congratulations to Dennis Rodman for having his number retired tonight at the Palace of Auburn Hills and for being elected into this year’s Basketball Hall of Fame Class.  It was a perfect game to have his jersey retired because the Pistons took on the Bulls, which Rodman won numerous titles with both teams.  Before his cross-dressing, numerous tattoos, and every different color hair in the world, Dennis Rodman was a beast in the paint for the hardnosed Bad Boys.  "Dennis the Menace"/"The Worm" was known for his fierce defense and rebounding abilities.  Rodman earned All NBA Defensive First Team honors seven times and was voted NBA Defensive Player of the year twice. He also led the NBA in rebounds per game for a record seven consecutive years and won five NBA championships.

There haven’t been too many good nights this year in the Palace, but tonight was a rare occasion.  Hall of Fame or not, Dennis Rodman will always be remember by Detroit Pistons fans.
