The Madness

March brought us exactly what is does every year. The true meaning to madness.  Who would of thought a month ago that Butler would work its magic again and prove to us that you don't need to be a recruiting powerhouse or a major conference to continue to make noise year after year in the tournament.  Who would of thought the Kemba Walker show would still be keeping us at the edge of our seats?  Everyone forgot all about Kentucky.  I know that I would never believe they would go farther than last years team who had 5 players go in the first round of the NBA Draft.  Oh yeah, how could I forget about VCU.  I remember sitting on the couch and watching the selection show and thinking like all other people across the nation, including sports analysts from all different networks, why the heck are they in the tournament.  Well  damn, VCU proved that they are the real deal.

After all the upsets, buzzer beaters, and chokes, we're finally down to the final four teams.  Heres my predictions:

Butler vs. VCU
VCU comes out and plays a fast uptempo game and makes Butler try and play keep up.  But in the end the Bulldogs defense will step up once again and they will be making their second consecutive trip to the NCAA Championship Game.

Result: Butler 7 over VCU

Kentucky vs. UCONN
Kemba Walker will meet fellow point guard and 2011 NBA draftee Brandon Knight.  Points will be scored in bunches and the scoreboard will be lighting up constantly. Look for Kentucky to use its athleticism and depth to beat Kemba Walker, I mean UCONN

Result:  Kentucky 3 over  UCONN

Finals: Kentucky vs. Butler

Two teams that are completely different in their style of play.  Both teams have future NBA players and both have great coaches. This game will come down to coaching.  If the Bulldogs capture this win, Brad Stevens will most definitely be considered if not already one of the elite coaches in the country.  This game is a tough one to call.  Calipari came to Kentucky for the sole purpose to win championships and Butler is hungry after last years loss to Duke.  I'm going to flip a coin on this one and pick Calipari to finally get to cut down the nets and take home the hardware.

Results: Kentucky 5 over Butler

Don't be surprised if the Cinderella story continues.  I mean don't we all deep down love seeing the underdog win?  I know in my heart I want to see one of the Cinderellas hosting the trophy when its all said and done.  But what the hell, let the madness continue.
