Disaster in the D

While most Detroit fans continue to watch the Pistons, all they've been receiving is another loss on their favorite team's record, and all the fingers have been pointed at second year head coach John Kuester.  Ever since Kuester has been hired, the Pistons competitiveness has severely decreased the past two seasons, with the poor record of 53 and 104.

With so many veterans on this team, it's about time they start rebuilding and planning for the future, which includes the 6'11 rookie Greg Monroe.  Game by game Greg has continued to improve his game and confidence 9.0 points and 7.3 rebounds, but has came along way after the all star break has ended.  With Hamilton and Prince likely signing elsewhere this off-season, were likely to see a new Pistons team that many people haven't seen in a long time.

According to www.nbadraft.net, they have the Pistons selecting Donatas Motiejunas, Power Forward from Lithuania with the 7th pick.  Many compare him to current Toronto Raptors star, Andrea Bargnani.  In my opinion, having Monroe set in the front court, the Pistons should attack the SF or SG position.  A guy I really like a lot is PG/SG Alec Burks from Colorado.  Burks is 6-6 and 191 pounds, with a silky smooth jumper, and shows ton of promise with his explosive leaping ability.  My number one guy the Pistons should attack is SF/PF Perry Jones out of Baylor.  Jones was suspended for the Big 12 tournament and the rest of the season for receiving improper benefits the year before.  Most scouts say he is a 2 guard stuck in a PF's body, standing in at 6'11 235.  Oozing with potential is Jones, who's game is compared to a young Tracy Mcgrady.

The only way Detroit is going to be back to the old bad boy days is getting new management in and re building.  Joe D will be a Piston for life, but he quite honestly is driving our organization down the drain by keeping John Kuester and making many poor acquisitions throughout the past few years.  Keep a good eye on Bill Lambeer this off season Piston fans, deep down he is itching to get back to where he belongs.
